Your Pup’s Home Away From Home

Nestled on 5 acres in Alto, Michigan (84th Street and Morse Lake Ave), your pup will have all the amenities of home combined with 7,000 square feet of fenced outdoor space to stretch their legs!

Boarding includes daily snuggles, group playcare, puppy-safe toys and constant supervision.

Regular participation in Puppy Playcare is required prior to boarding. This will familiarize your pup with our family, environment, and routine, which greatly reduces stress on their first sleep over.

Notice For Adult Dogs:

We do not have availability for new adult dogs* over 25 pounds to enter boarding or Playcare. Adult dogs who regularly participated in Playcare as a puppy and remain a good candidate for group play are eligible for boarding. *Adult dogs 25 pounds and under eligible for boarding after completing one trial night.

Boarding is available exclusively for puppies who have participated in Puppy Playcare with Dream Dogs.

Planning a trip in the future? Contact us to start your pup in our group setting before your vacation! New puppies will need at least 2 Playcare days prior to boarding to ensure they are acclimated and a good candidate for group play.

Fill out our contact form if you have questions about eligibility for boarding.

Boarding FAQ

Who can board?

At Dream Dogs, we board puppies and dogs who have attended the Playcare program (either currently attending or attended regularly as a puppy). This ensures the dogs grow accustomed to our daily routine and the shift to boarding causes minimal stress. We accept puppies and retain those dogs on our roster as they grow into adults. We do not have the capacity to start/add dogs older than 6 months to our boarding roster.

Can my 9 week old puppy board? How old do they have to be? What if they aren’t finished with their vaccines yet?

We take health very seriously - especially when it comes to our little ones! The same rules apply for boarding and Playcare puppies. They must have resided in your home for 10 days without illness, have at least 2 distemper vaccines and a negative fecal or undergoing treatment. For more information on vaccine logistics, early socialization and puppy health, visit our Playcare FAQ page.

Very small or very young puppies who board can be kept separate from the general population of dogs.

Can I pick up Sunday morning?

No, morning or afternoon pick ups are not available on the weekend. All Saturday and Sunday pick ups take place at 6:00 pm. If you need to leave Saturday morning, we recommend booking an extra night and dropping off Friday.

Will my dog be dirty when they come home?

You may see photos of your muddy pup wrestling with their friends but don’t worry, all pups are bathed prior to coming home! This ensures your pup comes home tired AND clean - the perfect puppy combination!

What should I bring?

Your dog and their food! Please bring a small bag of food equal to what they will eat during their stay plus one day. A one serving sized scoop must be included. If you prefer, meals can be individually bagged. If your dog is signed up for training, please bring along training treats as well.
